The Journal title is courtesy of a friend who
brilliantly summed up
'Felicity' when asked what it was about.
Thanks to everyone who voted on the poll. Considering the (lack of) usefulness of the Felicity Website, I've been thinking of releasing Issue 3 somewhat differently. Although how I'd do that was something I couldn't make my mind up on, I needed reader input to make my decision for me really. It seems the majority of voters like things the way they are.
If anyone has any suggestions or ideas for a reason to come to the website more regularly then please post away. I'd love the make
99reasonstowin.com a website worth visiting between the Issue Launches.
Regarding Felicity and Issue 3 then-
At various points since the beginning I've felt the need to really re-assess and really focus and improve the project as a whole and in a lot of respects rebuild it. These points are major, not small momentary changes or subtle tweaks but huge monumental stages of development. Usually resulting in large steps towards a new direction and I've felt, since completing Issue 2, that the time for that step has come again.
Think of it, I guess, as my time to Evolve and become a better stronger poke- I mean
artist. It doesn't change my plans but it does mean I have to approach this Issue a little differently. I have several ideas of what I want to explore and improve and I feel it's important to let that process happen before I really dive into Issue 3, I have goals for Issue 3 now that far exceed the other two combined.
It shouldn't affect the schedule, it's not going to mean I don't make a start on the Issue later than I intended. I just really want to try some things out and really tighten some aspects up. The biggest skill that the first two have taught me is speed in my process. I feel particularly that I can now easily afford to step up my process to be a far grander, far more impressive visual quality, without a sacrifice in speed and time-taken.
I've been struggling a little with writing Issue 3, which is a bit tricky as Issue 2 gave me no problems whatsoever. Issue 3, I see more closely resembling Issue 1 in that the structure is something that I will have to play very carefully to get right. I have all my pieces and my overall arc- just finding the right way to piece them together is going to be a challenge. Never the less- I'm looking forward to it.
Whenever you compose a story or comic book, there's certain moments in that story that you cannot wait to explore- Issue 3 for me represents one of those moments so I'm really excited that I'm (already) about to approach that, having made no shortcuts along the way.
Also,
I don't know why I'm writing all Lord Of The Ringsy at times in this journal. That shit'got stop son.
Thanks for reading!

I've liked the comic so far, good looking characters and death races are always fun.
Aaaand with issue 3, I'm really excited to see what it is that has you so keen on this issue! Its always good to hear that you want to improve though. There are some people that feel like they find something that works (aka is easy) when it comes to making comics and just push them out to get it done. I think if you're taking the time to constantly improve your work, then its more than fair to say that your fans should be able to wait as long as it takes for you to finish.

Also, you know that if you want to improve, to experiment newer things, then you should go for it. You have to enjoy every tiny bit of what you do, that's the only thing that matters.
Looking forward to Issue 3 either ! : D
