...Was my birthday and I had a great day of chillaxing, fine-dining and cake in ma fase. Birthdays loose a lot of their fun when your friends can't be there but I still had a cool day.

I got myself some new converse and family bought me some DVDs I've been looking for a while. My sister pulled a sneak attack on me though and got me the coolest present.

Somehow, she got a hold of my hi-res flats for Issue One(I now know she snuck on my computer while I was at work)and got Issue One printed for real. It's waaaay thicker than I thought it'd be, it's thicker than some of the proper comic volumes I own.




When I was working on finishing Issue One it was an inspiration for me to think about actually holding a book in my hands, a book that only existed because of all my hard work. It kept me going when I struggled to, in the end though I never went about getting that book. Part of me worried it wouldn't work, that I'd have done things the wrong dimensions and it'd warp, yadda yadda yadda.

As it happens- it came out brilliantly. I'm chuffed, it's a pretty bizarre sight having my own comic sitting alongside all the others.



She also got my '99 Reasons To Win' piece printed at the back alongside a short 2 page gallery of assorted images.



It's one of a kind and I'll treasure it forever. Sure, the art makes me cringe and want to scrap it all and re-do everything but it's my first ever comic and here it is now in the flesh.

Now I know how awesome it is having an actual book- I'll be working twice as hard on Issue 2 to give it the same treatment.
