EDIT:Thanks everyone for the interest/notes. I'm working my way through stuff and will get back to each of you individually if I haven't already!

Over at my Blog I have an entry detailing a Collab comic I'm interested in doing- mainly looking for a Writer to help develop an idea into a one-off issue. Major influence? Bucky O' Hare. Check it out if that sounds interesting!

Thanks.
Thank you for supporting me.
I took a dive through messages today and it really put into perspective how much encouragement I've gotten from this site over the years.
EDIT: I still have the shiny! I just haven't had any offers I'd like to take just yet!

Hey!
So like so many of us, I'm playing Pokemon Y now instead of sleeping and so far I've randomly stumbled upon a Shiny Axew. I never use Dragon types so I thought I'd offer it up here to any one reading if they'd like to trade? Just drop a comment with what you can offer me in exchange if you're interested! I'm not sure what I'd like so if you can offer something cool then we can arrange a swap! Thanks.
So wanted to give a quick little update!

Last journal I asked for some questions any one had about the Magpie comic, thanks for the ones that were left-I'll be answering them all in the first video-log for Magpie that should be coming down the line soon. I haven't had as much of a chance to put it together as I'd like but 'documenting' the process of Magpie, in some shape or form, is something I'll do for sure- so it's coming!

Secondly, I have a webcomic over at this here link that you should check out if you haven't already. Let me know how you feel if you do visit- good or bad! If you do enjoy it then check back every monday as it's updated weekly.

Laaaastly, are there many Yogscast fans out there? If so- you're in for a treat as there's something awesome coming in the pipeline. Really pleased to be a small part of the project and looking forward to the continuing progress on it(I think there's something I can show soon.)

Right then, HOW ARE YOU?

Hey!

I'm going to be starting first draft script editing on The Magpie comic soon and I've decided I'm going to try to document as much of the journey as I can from this point on. So I'll try to do regular 'updates' on the challenges, the victories and the various problems as well as that joyous stage of pre-production; concept art and visual development. Then right on through to actual comic pages and hopefully whatever I end up doing with the completed pages.

-I just wanted to know if anyone has any Magpie related questions to go along with these logs?-

EDIT: Decided I'm going to answer the questions in a youtube video(probably audio with visual aid!)so I can give a more thorough explanation!

And thanks for reading, get yourself a cup of tea(Whoo tea!)
Hey! A Question-
What is your ultimate artistic goal?
And what steps are you taking to achieve it?

Hey!
Just wanted to drop a link to Scoundrels, which is a pretty rad webcomic you should check out over at this here link. It's about Space pirates and whatnot! We're just about done with the introductions to the characters so things are really going to heat up in the coming weeks!

Also! If you have anything you'd like to ask me, for some reason I now have one of those question things over here! Feel free.

Lastly, there's more art on the way- I'm just locked down by freelance work right now which I can't share sadly.

Thanks,
-Adam

So you draw a sketch and in return I draw you a sketch, we can choose the same subject/character or we can drop a reference(say, if it's a creator owned project.)
If you wanna swap a sketch but don't have a topic in mind you can go ahead and doodle any character of mine(gallery is full of reference)and be sure to drop a comment with a ref of what you want from me!

In the past I've gotten a few of these and I really only have tonight to sketch so I'm going to limit it to about 3 hours after I post this!

Besides all that, hope you're doing good!

Thanks, the three hours are up there and plenty of sketchin' to do! Thanks. I'll do another soon.

Happy New Year folks, having a good 2013 already?

Just wanted to let those interested know that the new website for Felicity is prepped and ready, running only a few days behind schedule(Trust me to catch the flu). There needs to be a redirect from the old domain so for now you can access and bookmark the site at either FELICITY.thecomicseries.com or FELICITYCOMIC.com!

The new pages are going to uploaded every Monday starting from next Monday(the 7th!)so right now you can just check out all the old pages and have a gander at the site if you're curious!
I know there has been the odd user here who were unable to read the flashcomics in the past so incase they're reading- the new format is a typical page-by-page webcomic setup so you should be able to finally read them if you're interested!

Thanks!
Hope you can swing by the next couple of Mondays to check out the new pages as they get off their feet.

Hey, I've a little special project I'm looking to get out the door by next month that requires a voice actress giving a voice to 99 of Felicity. I've previously enquired about voice talent here on DeviantArt but it has been a long time since I was in contact with many of those talented individuals(There's one DeviantArt user in particular who, if you're reading this, let me know if you're still interested!)and I've been working on updating and changing Felicity quite a bit these last few months- so I figured I'd apply the same clean slate approach here.

If you've got a clean mic setup and have time to record a few lines of dialogue this weekend send me a Note or an email with a sample. If you're curious as to the kind of thing I'm looking for- Confident, energetic voice with an American accent(a Brooklyn accent is something I'm curious to try too)and a unique voice is a must. I'd love the voice to communicate the 'Dude' language in her vocabulary and to have undertones of that tomboy-ish persona.

Ultimately it is not a huge thing I need the voicework for, just a little trailer more or less so you don't need to worry about it eating alot of your time!

Thanks!

Also, everyone else who is reading; How the smeg are ya?

Hey,

Just a quick thanks to all of you who took the time to leave your thoughts regarding my last Journal entry.
I wasn't planning on picking the majority winner as my eventual course of action; instead I felt like I needed to gain some perspective on what is most interesting to a potential audience.
It's here on Deviant Art that Magpie has gathered the most interest and as I struggled to decide where I should take her(if I should take her at all)I thought it couldn't hurt to throw it out there and see what happens.

The response is- seems a lot of you are interested in what I do with her, regardless! That's very humbling and very encouraging. If I was to take into account which option was the most Popular- It'd probably actually be A; Hunting Wabbit 2. Which I won't be doing just yet. I'll explain that a bit further in if you're interested. What I found the most interesting was that Option B; The origin story was quite often highlighted as a less-preferred option. With extremely valid reasons too.

That leaves C! Which was a 'new adventure introducing a new enemy.'

So what am I actually going for? I'm going for a bit of everything but mostly C. The reason I won't be continuing with Hunting Wabbit just yet is because I wrote the comic on a whim, barely putting thought or time in to develop it. It was purely an experiment in inks and in action-story telling. As Rabbit is her arch-nemesis, I'd prefer to lay the table and do things properly if I'm going to invite him back for dinner. And option B, The origin story? Not something I felt comfortable with tackling yet, as it's the hardest aspect to make unique and interesting. I admit, I didn't anticipate quite so many voicing opposition to it but I agree with them for now, I also agree that weaving elements of her origin in throughout the books is probably the best way to tackle it. If not then waiting until there is a genuine interest in how she came to be.

The next Magpie book will be entitled THE MAGPIE: CASE ONE. It will tell the story of her first encounter with a Super-Villain after only a few years protecting the streets from thugs and small-crime.
Vibe wise you can expect it to aim for a middle ground between Saturday Morning Cartoons and the serious threat tone found in most comics. I'll be beginning work on it sometime around Fall this year and have a good idea on how long it'll be and how I'll be distributing it before years end.

Thanks!

-Adam

I'd put this up as a poll but I'm no longer able, so hopefully the people this is aimed at will drop by the Journal.

There has always been a little more interest in my Magpie character than my other original works- despite the fact she's a super hero. I've always been more hesitant to work on Magpie(despite it being the most fun to work on)because I felt like maybe no one would be interested in reading a super hero story when so many already exist. It seems that I'm actually wrong about that so my question to anyone who is interested in this character, if I were to continue with some more comics for her would you want to see?

A) A continuation of 'Hunting Wabbit', a duel between the hero and her arch nemesis.

B) Her origin story.

C) Introducing another of her enemies in a new storyline.

Thoughts?

Thanks.
-Adam.

Hey there!
Jeez, look at the dust on this old thing.
Over at my blog, I've detailed the first announcement of a few to follow. Felicity is going page-by-page and will be coming to the website this fall. For any readers interested there's a few more details here in the post. What else can I tell you while you're here? Oh!
There's this new comic launching this summer called 'Scoundrels' which is essentially a project I set up to allow lots of awesome talents to share stories that all interlock into the same overall universe. So it means you'll be reading about all kinds of characters from all kinds of authors, it will be very cool. I know this because I'm very little to do with it, I'm only involved as one of many stories! But I'll be sure to make alot of noise about it when the time comes.

So now that's out of the way, How are you?

Wow, I'm updating my journal?

Journal Entry: Fri Oct 14, 2011, 10:55 AM

This JournalSKIN is an edited version of 'Crest' by Ikue, Thanks!

I've been hugely ignorant to updating my DeviantArt Journal. I apologise for that. To anyone still out there, hello!

I've updated my blog with the fate of my online comic Felicity, a very select few of you may already be aware that it was supposed to have launched a third issue sometime back- if you want to know why it didn't or where it's at right now- bit of an essay there for you to read.

Thanks!

-Adam

EDIT MARCH 18TH:

Just a memo to say I'm going overseas for the next two weeks and maaay not have as much access to the net as normal, if that's the case I want to apologise in advance for any comments may get that I don't reply to or notes etc. I'll try my best to log in when I can. It's my birthday on the 20th so looking forward to a chillaxing holiday in a climate warmer than Northern Ireland. Have a great one!

-Adam.

Hey Hey!

Thanks firstly to Sonira for suggesting Hunting Wabbit for a Daily Deviation and to kangel for featuring it. I'm really surprised and thankful, I feel it's a piece in my gallery that slipped by due to its elongated presentation so it's so great to see so many people at least taking a look.

Thanks secondly to any and all of you who voted for my entry to the Stan Lee Foundation Super Hero contest. I never made it to the finals as I just didn't get the votes but I don't even have a Facebook so to get the votes I did was amazing.

For anyone drifting by my page or those curious about the Daily Deviation- it was a comic I pieced together back in 2009 and my first attempt at trying 'Digital Inks' with black and white limits(Atleast, in a comic context). I'm a cartoonist and use a lot of colour in my work so it was an eye opener for me and I look forward to finding time to revisit the set up and see if I've learnt much since.

Secondly I wanted to point you guys in the direction of my Art Blog and my Twitter Pic Account as they both have art I don't upload here on Deviant Art. Aswell as lots of WIP and unfinished doodles- just incase you're interested.

Thirdly! I'm working on a few things behind the scenes at the moment so I will continue to be pretty quiet around these parts, I have Issue 3 in the works(when don't I?) and a few secret things I annoyingly can't talk about yet.

Fourth...ly? Pokemon Black is now in my possession and between work, sleeping and my projects I'm chipping away at it slowly and enjoying it muchly- I've done a doodle of my young team to pre-date the inevitable 'Squad' Pic I'll do for the gallery once I'm done with the campaign.

Hope everything with anyone reading is rocking and thanks for dropping in!

-TWULF

Superhero for Stan Lee Foundation.

Journal Entry: Wed Feb 9, 2011, 10:42 AM

This JournalSKIN is an edited version of 'Crest' by Ikue, Thanks!

At the advice of a fellow Deviant jointeffort1, I entered my Magpie Superhero character into the Superhero for Stan Lee Foundation hosted at Talent House! And wanted to let you guys know you can help out by voting for the character if you feel like I deserve your vote. Alternatively you can browse through the submissions(although it seems to be quite abit laggy for me at the moment)and vote for whatever one you like!

Following this link will take you to my entry where you can vote in the top right. It's abit of a shame that this competition ultimately seems to boil down to whoever has the most voted entry(I don't even have Facebook myself!)but if you think the character is cool then any help would be hot!

Sketch Trade'in onwards for 2011!

Journal Entry: Fri Dec 31, 2010, 11:05 AM

This JournalSKIN is an edited version of 'Crest' by Ikue, Thanks!

Hey hey!

Happy new year - I think it's safe to say all of us want 2011 to be a year where we better ourselves; come out fighting and succeed where we feel like we failed previously.

With that in mind, bring it! I want to wish everyone here good health and fortune. I hope that we all continue on our artistic journeys, bounding (with alittle luck) effortlessly forward to whatever goals we all ultimately have. We all deserve that, right? Let's make it happen.

To bring in the new year I thought of running a 24 hour sketch trade! To explain; Everything works the same as a regular sketch trade(A sketch in exchange for a sketch of chosen characters by each party)only this time with a time limit of 24 hours- with both members having traded the sketches by this time tomorrow night.

If you're interested just drop a comment and we can get cracking.

Geronimo!

Hark! Felicity!

Journal Entry: Mon Oct 4, 2010, 3:18 PM

This JournalSKIN is an edited version of 'Crest' by Ikue, Thanks!

I'm suddenly reminded of when I made regular updates in my journal here on DevianArt, I struggle to realise why I've since stopped. Never the less, I want to update with clarification that I'm still here! I know that out of the watchers I have about ten of you actually read the journal, so this is for you- I've just been busy. I'm well into Issue 3 and don't want to really go into that, I'm sure anyone reading doesn't really want to know why I'm STILL at it. Bottom line is I haven't secretly given up or been lying about my progress, it just so happens that progress is slow. Besides Felicity, I've had some stuff happening and bouncing around in my head kinda knocking my stride off a little but I'm getting back on my feet.

With regards to Felicity Issue 3, I will be putting a Youtube Video together at the end of the week just explaining the progress and what I expect the release date to be. IT WILL BE THIS SIDE OF 2010! : D

If you're interested in checking out what I'm doing inbetween Felicity- I've taken a liking to posting sketches and stuff on my TWITPIC Account.
There's quite a lot of stuff on there now, doodles and WIP shots if you fancy a look.

Until then-

Fight the good fight.

Hey guys, just an update to let you know I'll be going into Lockdown on Issue 3 starting tomorrow. It just means I won't be present here much for the next month(won't be uploading any art)and if I don't reply to your comment it's not 'cus I'm being a dick, I just won't be around much to do so! I've got a blog post over here explaining alittle more.

Until then-

The lovely Sonira sure understands how 99s mind works.

See you in August with another Issue of Felicity BD.
