This is Northern Irelands very own Super Hero- The Magpie!
Based heavily on my City Of Heroes character and created to simply fill the 'Super Hero' void all my other stories lacked. Working, even as briefly as I do on The Magpie allows me to do those action poses, those far more exaggerated shots of dynamicy. The comic enthusiasts amoungst you will obviously recognize that this is a tribute/parody of a very famous Spiderman cover. I love those old vintage covers, with the cheesy out-of-character phrases slapped in an ugly intrusive speechbubble. Comics have evolved into something far more beautiful but it can be argued they lost alittle charm along the way. For those curious? Her powers are the ability to push and pull metal, working at times like a magnet(Magpies love shiny things afterall)and Super-agility and healing. No flying though. ~AlpTarnkappe Yay Nightmare demons!
Does the Magpie's ability work something like Magneto then? Or more like having the physical strength to bend metal?
Just wondering because Magneto uses his magnetic-ness to make himself float around, which is like flying hax.
Also, I really like the highlights/shading of traditional comics and you've captured that really well

I hear you speak and I obey
I walk away from the grave

I gave my life away
xD I do miss the old school.
And this is sheer awsome. Now you have got them action poses. Complete comic charm in here also.
I love how she doesn't have her shoes tied. Untied converses are your thing.
Yeah those bubbles. But that's what the comics were all about is the dialogue. xD To think it was approved by everyone before it was published it musta been golden.
Nice work, particularly the hood design. The runners are a nice touch- adds an air of practicality to the costume.
