First ever concept drawing I did for The Journey was basically this, crossing stepping stones. I'm not sure if it's linked to the memory I have as a child of crossing stepping stones (and being terrified I'd fall in) or if I simply felt it summarized the title the best.
Either way, this was a revisit I did alittle while ago. Still working at the book, it's becoming a favorite as I have pretty boundless opportunities regarding the usual style restrictions and rules that come with drawing a comic. I can go a bit nuts and it's very theraputic to have an outlet for the side of me that craves drawing bendy arms and bobble headed proportions.
