I was a big fan of 'The Batman' so without knowing it at the time; a Matsuda fan for sure.
I'll be doing a full issue for this character for release on comixology all being well, it won't have the grittiness you're looking to avoid, so it might interest you!
And the Batman, such an underrated gem of a series (mostly bogged down by having come out after Batman Animated). It wasn't perfect (seriously, Alfred, who serves nachos at a fancy dinner date!?), but it had style and did a much better job with the sidekicks in my humble opinion.
I also enjoyed viewing your earlier works of this character and the little mini-comic that you included of Magpie and her arch-nemesis. Do you plan on making a comic about this superhero? Because it sounds like a very interesting concept.
Yeah there are plans for a full comic book releasing in 2013, I'm not sure what way I'll be sharing it as it'll be a closed project that I'll be trying to get published so it depends how that goes.
